In the hope of increased income the contractors can sometimes exaggerate their recommendations and talk you into works which don’t even need to be done. In this case its very important that you have an experienced person by your side to check if your house has been built well. It is a lot easier to get the contractor to make good their mistakes before they leave site then trying to get them back after you have accepted their work and paid up. If that happens many times you’ll have to wait for even months for them to return and even then they often make dodgy repairs because they’re on a hurry to be on a job that brings them income.
